Fully automatic espresso machine grinding too coarse, not tamping, producing watery shots, or stuck in error mode? Fully automatic machines integrate the grinder, tamper, and brewer into one unit — a fault anywhere in the chain affects the whole cup. Our Westlands technicians trace faults from bean to cup.

Common Fully Automatic Faults

  • Grinder producing inconsistent grind — worn burr set, slipping grind adjustment ring, or blocked grind chute.
  • Brew unit jammed or not ejecting puck — broken brew unit arm, worn cam gear, or coffee puck too wet.
  • Coffee watery despite correct settings — scaled boiler reducing temperature, or pre-infusion solenoid stuck closed.
  • Error: "Clean machine" loop — clogged rinse circuit, blocked brew unit drain, or failed flow meter.
  • Machine leaks internally — split brew unit O-ring, cracked brew chamber, or failed boiler seal.
  • No milk froth / steam pressure low — blocked steam nozzle, failed steam boiler element, or steam valve fault.
