How to Ventilate Built in Fridge Freezers

One of the biggest issues that can occur with built in refrigeration appliances is that heat begins to build up inside.

How much ventilation does my fridge freezer need?

For full height appliances there should be a 200cm² slot in the plinth and the top of the built-in housing, along with a hole beneath the appliance. This will provide adequate ventilation for any built-in refrigeration appliance.

For under counter fridge or freezer appliances, simply having a slot in the plinth will successfully allow proper airflow through the machine.
