Repair Services and Price Guide

Most washing machine repairs in Nairobi cost between KES 1,500 and 8,000. Open a category to see what we fix and typical prices.

Diagnosis and testing

KES 500 to 1,500

Every repair starts by finding the root cause, not just the symptom. We test control boards, wiring and safety switches, then inspect drums, pumps, motors and transmission before any part is ordered. The diagnostic fee is usually waived if you go ahead with the repair.

Motor and drive system

KES 600 to 12,000

We service direct-drive, belt-drive and inverter motors, and rebuild or replace them where repair is no longer economical. Worn belts and damaged couplings are among the most common causes of failure, and belt jobs are often finished the same day.

Control board and electronics

KES 700 to 8,500

Today's washers rely heavily on electronics. We repair or replace control boards, displays, switches and wiring harnesses, using anti-static precautions. Erratic behaviour, error codes or a completely dead machine usually point here.

Drum, bearings and agitator

How it works

How Booking a Repair Works

Four simple steps from your first call to a working machine.

  1. Tell us the fault

Call or WhatsApp with your machine's brand, model number (on the sticker inside the door rim), age and any error code.

  2. Choose a time

Pick the day and time that suits you. We send a 3-hour arrival window for your technician.

  3. Approve the quote

The technician diagnoses the fault and gives a written quote. Nothing is repaired until you agree.

Advice

Care Tips and Repair or Replace

A well-kept washing machine can last 10 to 15 years. These habits prevent most emergency call-outs.

  • Clean monthly. Wipe the door seal and clear the lint filter.
  • Check hoses every 3 months. Look for bulges, cracks or mineral deposits, and replace rubber hoses about every 5 years.
  • Do not overload. Keep loads to about 80% of the drum, especially heavy duvets and towels, to protect the motor and bearings.
  • Protect from power surges. Nairobi's power fluctuations are a leading cause of control board failure. Plug the machine through a voltage stabiliser (AVR) rated at least 1,500W.
  • Level the machine. If it shakes, check all four feet touch the floor and adjust the legs. It is often a free fix.

Repair or replace?

Repair if the cost is under 50% of a new machine and your washer is under half its expected lifespan.

Replace if repairs would cost more than half the price of a new one, or the machine is over 10 years old with recurring faults.

Our technicians give you an honest recommendation with the quote.

FAQ

Washing Machine Repair Questions

How much does washing machine repair cost in Nairobi?

Most repairs cost KES 1,500 to 8,000 depending on the fault. Drain problems typically fall between KES 800 and 4,500, while a motor or control board replacement can reach KES 5,000 to 12,000. A diagnostic fee of KES 500 to 1,000 is usually waived if you go ahead with the repair.

How long does a washing machine repair take?

Most repairs are finished in 2 to 4 hours. Simple fixes such as a belt or filter take 1 to 2 hours. Complex work that needs special parts can take 1 to 3 days. Same-day service is available for most common faults.

Do you offer a warranty on washing machine repairs?

Yes. Every repair carries a 3-month (90-day) warranty on parts and labour. If the same fault returns in that period we fix it at no extra charge. Genuine OEM parts also carry the manufacturer's own warranty.

Do technicians come to my home?

Yes. We repair at your home, laundry business, hotel or lodge, and can also work on your machine at our workshop. A small transport surcharge may apply depending on your location.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept M-Pesa, cash and bank transfer. A deposit may be needed for expensive parts orders. You always receive a receipt or M-Pesa confirmation.

Which washing machine brands do you repair?

We repair Samsung, LG, Bosch, Hotpoint, Ramtons, Bruhm, Armco, Electrolux, Beko, Mika, Whirlpool, Maytag and most other brands sold in Kenya, including front-loaders, top-loaders, twin-tubs and commercial machines.

Should I repair or replace my washing machine?

Repair it if the cost is under 50% of a new machine and the machine is under half its expected lifespan. Replace it if the repair would cost more than half the price of a new one, or the machine is over 10 years old with recurring faults.

Why is my washing machine not draining?

Check the drain hose for kinks and clean the pump filter first. If water still stays in the drum, a blocked hose or a failing drain pump is the likely cause. Drain pump cleaning costs about KES 800 to 1,200 and replacement KES 2,500 to 4,500.
